In the mid to late 70's, Charlie Morgan after selling Morgan Yachts, began the Heritage Yacht Corp and started building Three West Indies models, the 36, the 38 and the 46. These boats were built with heavy hand laid fiberglass and a beamy interior to accommodate the cruising market with tough built center cockpit vessels. Breaking Wind is a 38 Heritage West Indies center cockpit ketch and has a rebuilt interior offering new cushion covers throughout, and a 2 stateroom layout with 1 head in Captains Quarters and I Head accessible the 2nd stateroom and separate entry from salon. The decks with non-slip and her exterior has all newer canvas. The cockpit is over 6 feet in height. Existing bimini top plus a New Backup one in Storage. Large Stainless wheel steering with newer wheel pilot and a huge cockpit locker.This is a Heritage West Indies Ketch with Diesel engine. The bottom was inspected in March 2014 and no blistering was found and the bottom paint was good. The rudder and centerboard has a full skeg, Draws 4.5 foot up and 8' down. She is propelled by a Perkins 4-108 in excellent running condition and large 2 bladed Racing Bronze prop for good speed under sail. Sails-2/3 Jenny on roller furling, behind that Working Sail, then Main, and Mizzen, I also have a Spinnaker, 4 Sails plus Spinnaker Sail, Canvas covers for hatches, and a danforth compass, like what US Coast Guard uses on their ships.
